What to Expect

A maternity photo session is a beautiful way to celebrate your pregnancy and preserve this special season of your life. Here is what you can expect from booking through final image delivery.

1. Contact Me

Send an inquiry with your preferred session date, due date, and the type of maternity session you are interested in. Maternity sessions are typically scheduled between 28 and 34 weeks, when your baby bump is beautifully defined and you are still comfortable moving and posing.

You are welcome to share inspiration photos, preferred colors, locations, and any special ideas you would like to include.

2. Select Your Session

We will discuss the available session options and choose the experience that works best for you. Depending on the package selected, your session may include:

• Access to maternity gowns and wardrobe options

• Multiple outfit changes

• Individual portraits of the mother-to-be

• Portraits with your partner and children

• Professional posing guidance

• Fully edited digital images

3. Reserve Your Date

Your session date is officially reserved once the required retainer and booking agreement have been completed. The remaining balance is due by the date provided in your booking information.

Payment plans may be available when arranged in advance.

4. Plan Your Session

After booking, we will begin planning your wardrobe, location, and overall style. You may receive a maternity gown lookbook to help you select your favorite options.

We will also discuss clothing recommendations for your partner or children so that everyone’s outfits coordinate without looking overly matched.

Please feel free to send inspiration photos before your session. These images help me understand the poses, colors, and style you love while still creating photographs that feel personal to you.

5. Prepare for Session Day

Arrive with clean, moisturized skin and neatly styled hair and makeup. Wear loose-fitting clothing before the session to help prevent marks on your skin.

Please bring any personal items you would like photographed, such as:

• Ultrasound photos

• Baby shoes

• A name sign

• Jewelry

• A meaningful family item

Pack nude or seamless undergarments that work well beneath your selected gowns.

6. Enjoy Your Maternity Session

You do not need modeling experience. I will guide you through flattering poses, hand placement, expressions, and movement throughout the entire session.

Depending on your package, you may change into several maternity gowns or personal outfits. Your partner and children can also be included in selected portraits.

The goal is to create a relaxed, encouraging experience that allows you to feel confident, beautiful, and celebrated.

7. Select Your Favorite Images

After the session, you will receive a proof gallery containing the best images from your maternity session. You will select the number of photographs included with your package.

Additional images or the complete gallery may be purchased if you would like more than the number included.

8. Receive Your Finished Portraits

Your selected photographs will be professionally retouched and enhanced. Final high-resolution digital images will be delivered through a private online gallery, where you can download, share, and preserve your maternity portraits.

These photographs will become a lasting reminder of the anticipation, beauty, and love surrounding your baby’s arrival.
